NEARBY SWIMMING

There is a path leading from the house to some cliffs from which you can jump. If you are looking for a less adventurous way to go for a quick swim, the road ends up in a combined beach/jetty. This place is called “Solvik” and is especially suited for children. Finally, if you look for a more organised place to go for a swim, the main road leads down to Gårvik, where you find a beach, a kiosk and a diving tower. This place is approximately 1,5 km from the house, and you can easily walk there in around 30 minutes.

FISHING

Örekilsälven is one of the best salmon fishing waters in the whole of Sweden! In Örekils- & Hajums rivers you can fish pike, bass, burbot, eel, trout and towards the Kärn Lake also pike perch. There are three areas especially designated for disabled people. You do need a fishingpermit. These can be bought from Kynnefjälls Natur. You may not get a permit for the same day, so plan your fishing!  (www.kynnefjell.com).

TORREBY GOLF COURSE

Torreby is the oldest golf course in Bohuslän. It is beautifully situated by the Färlevs Fjord, the innermost part of Gullmars Fjord. The course is known to be one of the better park courses in Sweden, built on the grounds of Torreby Castle. Information and telephone: +46 524 285 31. The golf course is only 4 km from the house. Take a left before the motorway and follow the signs for Torreby.
